The 19th Annual Chapin Optimist Poker Rally is definitely on!  We will be conducting the Captain's Meeting Friday, May, 13, at 7 pm at Lighthouse Marina. At this, players can get information, buy tickets and t-shirts, and even have their first hand dealt! Then the Rally itself will be Sat., May 14, with dealers at the participating marinas from 9 am - 3 pm. All cards must be returned to a marina by 3 pm to qualify for any prizes. Then, the awards ceremony will be held at SouthShore Marina at 4:30 pm. The top three poker hands will receive cash prizes of 12%, 8%. and 4% (of our ticket sales profit) respectively. We will also have runner-up prizes for the top 10 hands and even some other consolation prizes.

The dealing locations include Big Man's Marina, Lighthouse Marina, Siesta Cove Marina, Jake's Landing, The Lake Shack, SouthShore Marina, Buffalo Creek Marina, and PBJ's Pub and Grille. Tickets are available at all of these locations now. The cost of one ticket is a $20 donation to our club, and if you get two tickets, you can receive a bonus ticket free up to the day of the event.

We are hoping for a great turnout as this is our club's sole fundraiser. This year we have partnered with the Dutch Fork Optimist Club, which is also a community service group that focuses on our motto of "Bringing out the best in kids." This event will be conducted rain or shine, and all of the marinas can be accessed by lake or by land. We hope lots of boats, cars, and motorcycles come by our event Saturday, May 14th!!
