Billy Dreher Island is Lake Murray's only State Park, and consists of 348 acres and 12 miles of shoreline. 

Facilities: public restrooms, picnic tables, shelters, playground, store, hiking trails, primitive camping, campsites with facilities, lakeside camping, vacation villas, fishing, boat ramp

$2.00 adults, $1.25 Seniors, 15 & younger free.

Directions from Chapin:
Go west from Chapin on US-76 just under 1 mile.  Turn left at St. Peters Church Road (SC-29) and go 3.6 miles to Dreher Island Rd (SC-231). Follow signs.

Directions From Lexington: 
Take North Lake Drive (Hwy 6) north out of Lexington. The park entrance is on the left just before the dam.
Directions from Irmo: 
Take either Lake Murray Blvd or Bush River Road west from Irmo.  The park entrance is on the right just after the dam.

Located off of Hwy 76 between Ballentine and Chapin.  In Hilton, turn south on Wessinger Road and continue until you see the recreation area entrance.

Larry Koon Landing

From Lexington, take US #378 west, turn right onto Shore Road, then right onto Shull Island Road. Larry Koon Landing is just past the bridge to Shull Island.

Murray Shores (SCE&G Park #3)
Saluda County

Directions from Lexington:
Take US #378 west out of Lexington, and turn right on Holly Ferry Road s(1st Road after entering Saluda County). Follow Holly Ferry Road a couple miles, and turn right on Carolina Lane. Follow the Carolina Lane to the park on the right.

River Bend (SCE&G Park #4)
Saluda County

About:
A small recreation area located at the end of a peninsula on the western part of Lake Murray.

Public restrooms, picnic tables, fishing, boat ramp, hiking

Directions from Lexington:
Take US #378 west out of Lexington, and turn right on Shealy Road (2nd Road after entering Saluda County). .Follow Shealy Rd as it becomes SC-S-41-400 for an additional 2.2 miles. 

Bundrick Island (Sandy Beach)

About:
Not really an island, this is a peninsula at the north end of Brady Port Rd. There are several dirt roads and hiking trails, plus a sandy beach. This is a very popular place for boaters.

Hiking trails, swimming. No public restrooms available, no parking available (accessible only by boat or bike)

Directions from Lexington: 
Follow US #378 west out of Lexington. Turn right 2.0 miles beyond where US #1 and US #378 split and go north on Wise Ferry Road 0.8 miles. Turn left and follow Old Cherokee Road 2.3 miles northwest. Turn right onto Brady Porth Road, which leads up to the gate. No parking is available.

Directions from Columbia:
Take I–26 west toward Spartanburg. Exit Piney Grove Road and turn left. Proceed approximately 1.5 miles to St. Andrews Road. Turn right, then left at the first traffic light. Saluda Shoals Park is 1.5 miles on your left.
